Bagpuss all over again

So for simply the reason of tidying up, the Wonderful Ninky Nonk ended up being put in the window, and then all of a sudden a strange thing happened.....

Every single person in Oreston comes to stand and stop and look into our window, hours sometimes days they stand and stare and admire the workmanship.

Today, whilst at the shops ( a good mile away ) i over heard a mother and her son talking, and she was saying " no i don't think it is a real Ninky Nonk in the window"

It's like the shop window in bagpuss, and i feel like we are doing a retro service to the public, giving a focus for families to talk and discuss and smile and believe in something magical.

As for the boy at the shop....... i whispered to him that it was real when his mum wasn't looking, and told him the garden was behind the house.

Same old same old.... camera has gone again... this time i know where it is.....

so it will come back.

kate woke up from her sleep the other day, stretched and then said " oh , whats occurring?"

Brilliant!

For us things have all happened very quickly, we are now moving house in a couple of weeks. On the 18th of March to the Rue street place, so house party, big roast dinners etc will all be possible sooner rather than later, plus Marys job all sorted itself out. So the graves are pretty pleased with things right now.... if only i had my camera!

2012 olympics

So kate had her first go on a wii fit on friday - and beat all the older kids on a "fly like a chicken " game...... travelling 176 metres by keeping her balance and flapping her arms. Needless to say, we are already booking hotel rooms for the summer olympics in london to watch her take her place in history...... they do have "fly like a chicken" in the summer olympics don't they?

more party piccies

The Second birthday party

Full on choco cake from a godless parent (much respect) and 27 people in our small cottage front room....... needless to say, Kate was pretty happy with her party, and did not want it all to end, in fact it was no mean feet getting her to not sleep in her party dress at the end of the day!

Cornwall weekend

Back to the motherland for a short break at the start of half term. A cheap deal due to having to sit through four hours of timeshare selling. kate decided quite early on that we should not buy a timeshare... so did I and also Mary... but we still had to sit through another 3hours and 56 minutes. still, we got to see chris and chrissie, and callum again, and the evenings were lovely, if just a little cold!
Additional..... the rugby was extremely lame yet again.... and i am sure i said i would stop watching england if they continued to be so pants!

After a three walk thursday, millie is trying to take up room on the sofa, and kate keeps moving her on. It is a battle of wits i think that will go on for a long long time, and experience tells me the dog will win!
