pocket / car roof game

Another game that should really be played before driving off to the garden centre is the pocket / car roof game when thinking about where to place your house keys.

Hmmm, not quite as expensive as the petrol / diesel game, but still worthwhile I feel now.

It is best I find, to play the game Diesel / petrol about five to ten times before you enter a fuel station in your wifes car on a really really really busy sunday lunchtime.

Kates developing humour

So we were playing "shop" at the park yesterday and kate was the shop keeper. I was trying to be funny when she asked me what did i want, so i said "do you have the answer to the meaning of life", she paused , looked round at the shop area and then said.... we've got crisps!

She then followed this up on my request for the maps locating the mysterious lost cities of El Dorado with...... "it's a bit smudged!"

All i ask for is as the salary increases , so to the work rate and the reduction of mistakes. sprinkle in a little bit for difficulty level and bingo .... everyone is happy. Oh , hang on... no, we are not..... all the previous is not true.

I know it's all kate, but she is so much better looking than i am.

so september was mainly about going back to stinky work, and then running away at weekends to try and live the summer all over again..... and it kinda worked.

Just love spending time with my friends and eating far too much food, and Tiki also likes eating too much food... as she stole a huge portion of lasagne from the kitchen side.... grrr!

Summer holidays

Well, it's all going well so far this holiday. A lovely week in a caravan in wales, back for a week at home, when I managed to floor the attic in a day, sort all the sheds / tools and gardening stuff out, have two days playing with kate and becoming number one dad. Then a weekend at the dartmoor folk festival that was great fun and again DRY! And today managed to spend lots of money on myself in town, followed by a completely pain free visit to dentist for the rebuilding of my broken tooth.

I've even manged to set a best time for my run up onto dartmoor with my new trainers this evening, and ran all the way to the top without a cheeky walk near the top...

something tells me my luck can not last like this, but happy to ride it whilst it does.

caravan holiday in wales

So a beautiful corner of a farmers field in wales has a wonderfully old yet cared for caravan, that has a wood burner and gas lamps and comfy seats. we went here with some friends and fell in love with camping out with no running water or phone signal.

a very good way to start the school holiday.....
