So kate had her first go on a wii fit on friday - and beat all the older kids on a "fly like a chicken " game...... travelling 176 metres by keeping her balance and flapping her arms. Needless to say, we are already booking hotel rooms for the summer olympics in london to watch her take her place in history...... they do have "fly like a chicken" in the summer olympics don't they?

The Second birthday party
Cornwall weekend
Back to the motherland for a short break at the start of half term. A cheap deal due to having to sit through four hours of timeshare selling. kate decided quite early on that we should not buy a timeshare... so did I and also Mary... but we still had to sit through another 3hours and 56 minutes. still, we got to see chris and chrissie, and callum again, and the evenings were lovely, if just a little cold!
Additional..... the rugby was extremely lame yet again.... and i am sure i said i would stop watching england if they continued to be so pants!

So spent the weekend with our friends steve and debs, Dave and larry eating this piece of cow. it was late christmas party, and good fun was had by all. Kate copied Daniel all weekend ( she is learning the art of Mirroring and how that helps in the flirting world!)
And Steve and larry had to learn the hard way that you never ever bet against leon in a golf match...... they had to suffer the winning song and dance "peanut butter jelly time!" over and over again ......

So yet another full on day at work ( to be honest they all are at the mo) but had some wonderful wonderful feedback from so many parents about how inspired their children were about geography ever since i started teaching them! Normally I hate parents evenings, but blow me, parent after parent wanted to thank me, and told me that their little dude liked geography the most and wanted to do it for gcse, if i was their teacher. Even some bloke came up to me and said " I haven't booked an appointment, but just wanted to take this opportunity to say that you are one of the most inspiring teachers here, what you have done for our girl is out of this world, so thank you!"
i really welled up at this stage!
anyway.... it'll be back to normal tomorrow, perhaps it was the full moon that made everyone go crazy.

Worked all day today, started at school at 7.30am, taught every lesson, had meetings in both lunch and break, had a member of the department out so set work for their classes too, picked up kate, cooked dinner, washed up, marked 2 whole sets of year 8 books, now watching a geography video for tomorrow, plus it's year nines parent evening tomorrow after school and yet I still smiling........ have no idea why !
Got a big weekend of fun coming up with friends, having our second christmas.... so big roastie and plus a bit of rugby to watch.
May be thats it?
